Akman is the new brand founded by Black Kube Studios, with the aim of launching a strategic aesthetic.

Black Kube will be the heart of the brand as it is precisely within this office that a collaborator of Akman's stylistic staff, recounting her childhood memories spent in Venice with her grandfather, gave the initial inspiration for the creation of the welt of the shoe. The woman, a child at the time, went to visit her grandfather in Venice and as per tradition they went out on a boat to spend the afternoon fishing and telling each other funny stories.

One of these stories concerned the existence of an underwater city, where rare species of animals lived, and the little girl's goal was to capture one. As the years passed, this story always remained imprinted on the woman who one day decided to delve deeper into the story of the underwater city and it was precisely in this way that she discovered that under Venice there really is a city made of a particular coral which protects marine life from fishermen. This coral has a very specific name ''TEGNUE'', a word in Venetian dialect, meaning ''withheld'', which was given by fishermen to whom their fishing nets got entangled in the rocks of the seabed.

It was therefore the corals that gave the first inspiration to the Black Kube style office for the creation of the porous bottom of the shoe.
